Medical Design can be cool, too.
When I tell fellow designers that I’m working heavily in medical design, it’s as though I can feel them withdraw from the conversation. A lot of the time, medical design is not considered ultra creative, sexy, or cutting-edge… But I say, why can’t it be? As the office manager and sole graphic designer for Fisher Chiropractic, I’ve had the opportunity of letting my creativity shine through medical design and I love seeing how I can apply my own creative style to such a clean-cut sector of design.
IMPLEMENTING A NEWSLETTER
It’s obvious that businesses grow, adapt, and change over time (especially when that business is a small business). I realized this when taking on the position of Graphic Designer for this family-owned and operated medical facility. Sometimes these changes in how business is conducted can catch our patients off-guard, even if we did our best to warn them ahead of time. That’s when the lightbulb went off in my head— DING! I realized we needed an electronic newsletter to send out to our patients so those who are tuning in will be aware of any changes of scheduling, billing, or daily operations.
